Integrating developmental science with deep inner work to help individuals and families heal and thrive.

Hi! I am Kelly, a degree trained therapist, teacher and integrative nutritionist who is passionate about helping parents, carers and families find more joy and ease in their lives.

In my personal life I am mum to a wonderful and neurodivergent child who has taught me more than any textbook ever could have. I am also an outdoor enthusiast, absolute book worm, had a previous life as a dancer and circus performer, and am a lifelong learner with a particular passion for understanding the connections between our mind, body, spirit and emotional environments in relation to healing and experiencing a fulfilling life.

I specialise in working with parents and children who have often been labelled as ‘deep feeling’, ‘spirited, ‘highly sensitive’, neurodivergent, or ‘challenging’ along with parents who are curious about re-parenting themselves and getting to know the parts of them which may be appearing as they journey through parenthood/caregiving.

My aim is to help you create small and sustainable changes which empower you to experience the intense emotions which are asking to be felt, while also having the tools to soothe and regulate your nervous systems. I will prioritise safety as we gently re-wire your nervous system and mind to better serve you in your current life stage.

Additionally, we may take a journey down a root cause path and identify any internal factors contributing to the current challenges. The study of the gut microbiome and our ability to change our internal terrain to influence our emotional wellbeing, physical health and behaviour is a powerful and exciting area for all of us, and it is my dream to share these tools with all parents who are ready to embark on this journey with me.

My approach involves looking at each client and their family unit holistically. This will look different for each person I work with but can include:

  • Attachment and carer/parenting support, including sleep and behaviour guidance support which is truly respectful and attachment based. My work in this space is based on biological and developmental norms without sleep training or punitive approaches.

  • Nutritional support is a key part of supporting behavioural, emotional and physical challenges. I use a functional nutrition approach to identifying root causes of the presenting concerns and address these through a ‘food first’ approach. This may include functional testing if indicated and desired by the family.

  • Supporting families with physical health concerns such as eczema, constipation or other digestive symptoms, allergies and food/environmental sensitivities, and autoimmunity. I approach this with a focus on healing the gut and other systems throughout the body such as the elimination pathways, nutrient levels, immune function, and nervous system. I have found physical health symptoms are often present in the population of children I work with and they exist alongside the emotional and behavioural symptoms (for good reason, as we will explore together!)

  • Psychological and emotional support to understand, process, and develop strategies to manage behaviours and emotions. I use a combination of internal ‘terrain’ work and therapeutic modalities to meet the individuals needs in this space.

  • Working with families, individuals and couples to explore communication, parenting, relationships and re-parenting work. I am qualified as a Social Work therapist and my approach guided by my study of modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, Gottman’s couples therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Polyvagal theory, Somatic processing, Psychoneuroimmunology and Attachment theory.

The practitioner must explore the patients relationship with the world on all levels, from the food they eat, to the people they love, to the way they relate to nature and herbal medicine. - David Hoffman

When my baby was diagnosed with reflux, recurrent respiratory issues, and eczema all before the age of 2 years old, as well as being on the path to a neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosis, I knew there was something I was missing in our otherwise healthy and low tox lifestyle. Our healing journey, along with more than 20 years of working with parents, carers and children, was the inspiration for me to develop a holistic health service for all ages, where I could draw on my background in developmental science, individual and family therapy, and functional nutrition to truly support others to heal from the inside out.

I also discovered deeper layers of my own healing which needed my attention as I adjusted to a motherhood experience which looked very different from what I had envisioned. This work took me into deep re-parenting, grief processing, surrender and spiritual growth. I went on a journey of re-connecting to my true self, which I find to be the most powerful journey any of us can take.

I now utilise a targeted combination of biopsychosocial approaches to support other individuals and families in a way which honours the powerful connections between all parts of them, and the world around them. Just as our mind is not separate from our body, we are not separate from the people and dynamics around us. Taking a holistic view of each person I work with allows us to work deeply and authentically towards their healing.
